On arrival view the highlights of our capital city. Stay in a suite at the Hotel
Continental in the heart of the city.
Day 2: Wellington - Wairarapa
In the Wairarapa wine district enjoy a comparative tasting of the local
pinot noir, which has emerged as a n international award winner. Tonight stay at Fernside,
one of New Zealands finest historic homes, and a former residence for the American
ambassador.
Day 3: Wairarapa - Hawke's Bay
Continue on to the fertile plains of Hawke's Bay. Since the catholic brothers planted a
vineyard in 1852, winemaking has been an integral part of this province. Visit Sileni
Estate for tastings in the Wine Discovery Centre, followed by a 4-course
degustation dinner. Stay two nights at Mangapapa Lodge where a relaxed
hospitality prevails.
Day 4: Hawke's Bay wine tour
Hawke's Bay provides exceptional wine across a broad spectrum of styles, from early
ripening varieties such as pinot noir,chardonnay or sauvignon blanc, to the later cabernet
sauvignon and merlot. A local guide will accompany you to several celebrated wineries for
tastings, lunch and a chance to meet the winemakers.
Day 5: Hawke's Bay - Marlborough
Return to Wellington and board the ferry to the South Island. The approach is through the
magnificent Quuen Charlotte sound. a short drive will take us to Timara Lodge, set
amongst 600 acres of land, including 25 acres of beautiful gardens.
Day 6: Marborough wine tour
Some of the best wines in the world, fine fruits and vegetables, seafoods, meats and dairy
products have collectively earned Marlborough the title of " Gourmet Province of New
Zealand". Embark on a taste tour of Marlborough's finest produce,
then enjoy a culinary demonstration matched with local wines.
Day 7: Blenheim - Departure from Wellington
Return to Wellington by ferry to catch your onward flight
