Today we journey to Lake Tekapo and view the tiny Church of the Good Shepherd. Continue to
Mt Cook National Park, a World Heritage-listed area and home to New Zealand's highest
peak, Mt Cook. There may be an opportunity for an optional scenic flight over this amazing
alpine region (own expense, weather permitting). Our journey continues today to the pretty
lakeside settlement of Lake Ohau.

Day 3. Lake Ohau, Dunedin Theme Dinner
Visit historic Dunedin, known as the 'Edinburgh of the South'. On arrival in Dunedin enjoy
a city sightseeing tour, viewing the highlights this city has to offer. Visit historical
Larnach Castle. Tonight immerse yourself in a traditional Scottish Ceremony including
haggis, bagpipes and enjoying dinner afterwards.

Day 4. Dunedin, Te Anau
This morning explore the grand city of Dunedin including a visit to historic Olveston
House. Departing from Dunedin we travel across the South Island to the pretty lakeside
settlement of Te Anau.

Day 5. Te Anau, Milford Sound, Queenstown
Our adventure today, may just be the highlight of your tour. Departing from Te Anau we
travel through amazing alpine scenery to Milford Sound. On arrival we board our boat and
cruise the length of this beautiful fiord. Discover spectacular scenery, an abundance of
wildlife and be awed by majestic Mitre Peak, a multitude of waterfalls and other
landmarks. Continue to the action-packed 'Alpine Resort' of Queenstown.

Day 6. At Leisure in Queenstown Queenstown Theme Dinner
Today enjoy the many activities that Queenstown has to offer. Experience some of New
Zealand's famous wines on a vineyard tour, take an exciting river rafting journey or a
scenic helicopter flight, the opportunities are endless (weather permitting, own expense).
This evening cruise on Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Sheep Station on the TSS Earnslaw to
enjoy a sumptuous carvery dinner at the Colonel's Homestead.

Day 7. Queenstown, Haast
Trace the beautiful shorelines of Lakes Wanaka and Hawea and view picturesque reflections
of the surrounding mountains in the glassy waters. Cross the snow-capped Southern Alps and
journey to Haast.

Day 8. Haast, Greymouth
Enjoy more incredible scenery as we travel along the west coast, through a world of
mountains and glaciers, limestone landscapes, tranquil lakes, raging rivers and rare bird
and plant life. View dramatic coastline through dense rainforest to World Heritage-listed
Westland National Park. Journey to Hokitika, where you will have the opportunity to see
Greenstone (Jade) being carved into jewellery and other artefacts.

Day 9. Greymouth, TranzAlpine, Christchurch
Travel north along the dramatic coastline to Punakaiki to view the fascinating 'Pancake'
rock formations and blowholes, then visit Shantytown. Return to Greymouth and board the
award-winning TranzAlpine Train. This journey has been voted one of the top train journeys
in the world, and is renowned as New Zealand's 'Great Rail Adventure'. Enjoy stunning
scenery as we journey through spectacular gorges, river valleys and across the country's
greatest mountain range, the magnificent Southern Alps. Climb up the Main Divide before
crossing the vast patchwork farmlands of the Canterbury Plains, and the braided Rakaia
River. Arrive in the pretty 'Garden City' of Christchurch.
