4 Days/ 3 Nights from NZ $829 - New Zealand Culture at its best - insights, myths and legends.
Day 1: Auckland - Bay of Islands
North over the Harbour Bridge to Whangarei
and Paihia. The afternoon is at your leisure for optional activities, such as a
visit to quaint Russell or the Waitangi National Reserve. Stay 3 nights in Paihia.
Day 2: Paihia
- Cape Reinga - Paihia
Venture North to Cape Reinga via Puketi
Kauri Forest, viewing giant Kauri trees, to where the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean
meet. Zoom along Ninety Mile Beach. Stop for sightseeing and refreshments (own expense).
Day 2: Paihia - Hokianga - Paihia
Journey across
to Opononi, meet a local maori guide and hear stories of their history and culture.
Continue into Waipoua Forest and get up close to 'Tane Mahuta', New Zealand's famous
giant Kauri Tree. Time for a lunch break (not included) before a scenic and culturally
enlightening cruise on the Hokianga Harbour, taking in the giant sand dunes, Victorian
town of Kohukohu and a tour of Mangungu Mission. Return to the Bay of Islands late
afternoon. * This tour is subject to availability.
Day 4: Cruise
- Paihia - Auckland
Cruise amongs the many islands of the Bay and through the intriguing Hole
in the Rock, dolphin watching en-route. Board your waiting coach and travel back
to Auckland once more. Arrive in Auckland early evening.
Tour Bonus - Your free tour bonus is a free Culture North Show or between May - Sep a lunch on the Cape Reinga Day Tour.
