5 Day Central North Island

Day 2

Picked up from your accommodation for your half day visit to Wai O Tapu Valley with the Champagne Pool and Lady Knox Geyser.  On conclusion you will be returned to your accommodation.
Also included is a shuttle pass for Geyser Link Shuttles to take you out to Hells Gate Thermal Valley.  Take a walk through the thermal valley or enjoy a thermal spa and mud bath.  (Entrance at own expense).

Day 3

Picked up from your accommodation and taken to Taupo where you will join a fascinating tour of Taupo including Huka Falls, Craters of the Moon thermal area, Wairakei Geothermal Power Station and much more. At lunch time you will be taken to your accomodation and have a free afternoon for shopping or to explore Taupo.

Day 4

At 2:00pm you will be picked up from your accomodation for your journey to Mt Ruapehu. Arriving at 4;15pm where you will be transfered to your accomodation.

We suggest you visit the Department of Conservation Visitor Centre with its fascinating audio-visual presentations showing the history of Tongariro National Park.

Day 5

Morning is free at leisure. We recommend you spend the morning on the mountain enjoying some of the walks available around the accomodation.
1:15PM: Picked up from your accomodation to join the Newmans/Intercity Coach back to Auckland or down to Wellington on Kiwi Traveller.
